Baybayon Mabini Bohol

Baybayon Mabini Bohol is one of the progressive and densely populated barrios in the town of Mabini, Bohol, Philippines. It was a major part of the town of Quilim in the Spanish era. It is a promising barrio with a fish port that is currently under renovation. It's a major project of honorable DA Sec.

Arthur Yap thru the auspices of President Gloria Arroyo. When finished, this wharf will serve as a fish landing port and possibly a gateway for Manila-Maasin bound buses that wish to penetrate Bohol owing to its close proximity to Maasin City in Leyte province . Lumayag Islet and Quanting Bay are part of Baybayon.

Tourist attraction include Pook beach (although it still needs to be developed) and Naasog Point which is a good sight seeing destination and a possible diving spot as well. Monkeys and tarsiers are also found in the forests of Baybayon.

Baybayon is about 120 kms from Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines. It's a promising barrio in Mabini with a fish port that is currently under renovation. It's a major project of honorable Department of Agriculture (DA) Sec. Arthur Yap thru the auspices of Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (GMA). (Although the media has berated her, in fairness, GMA has bestowed a lot of projects in the impoverished town of Mabini that got publicized globally when some children got poisoned by eating cassava fries.)

When finished, this wharf will serve as a fish landing port and possibly a gateway for Manila-Maasin bound buses that wish to penetrate Bohol as well. Only Manila-Bato (Leyte) bound buses serve the Bohol-Manila route via Ubay because the latter is near Bato. Proximity of Baybayon to Maasin City in Leyte makes the place the nearest link between Leyte and Bohol. Even Cebu and Surigao can be served by this port should there be a passenger or cargo ship like RORO that will venture someday soon.

If you have the opportunity to travel around Bohol, try visit Baybayon Mabini Bohol to see for yourself.
